Brief history of the school
GHSS Belluru ,the only Higher secondary
School in the Belluru Grama Panchayath,is one among the Endosulphan
affected area in kasaragod District,located in the north east boarder
with Karnataka. Most of the students belong to poor socio economic
background.The school established in 1947 in a donated building and
upgraded as UP ,HS and HSS .educaton is given both in Kannada and
Malayalam medium. Now 1265 students are studying from 1 st standard
to +2.
This school is situated in a remote
area. Most of the students reach the school by walking as there are
no sufficient transport facilitiy in this remote area. The school
premise is surrounded by cashew plantation of KPC. Students reach
school from nearby 10 Kmts radial distance.
